Watapore is a small village in Konar province,5 km from Capital Asad Abad,Mohammad Amin Khan was a prominent Khan and was a Chief of the Village,The Ethnic tribe RANGA KHEL are the majority of this Village,Meaning of Watapore is PLACE OF STONES,There are 2 Rivers in Watapore village Lvey Seen and Warkotay seen,On the Top of the Village there is a big Fort named PASS Qala which belongs to Mohammad Amin Khan,Mohammad Amin Khan was the father of Prof.Abdul Rasul Amin who was a well Know politician in Afghanistan and served the Education Ministry as a Minister of Education in Karzai Interm Government from 2001-2002,prof.Amin was also born in this small Village on 31 May 1939.There is Big American Base in Watapore Village which was established in 2009.
