History :

Ratholo Village is a village found by Bae Mangadi being the first Ratholo chief in 1800s, the second people to reach Ratholo village are Morulane\\\\\\\'s family followed by Seokolo\\\\\\\'s family, later Mathewane\\\\\\\'s family. Bae and Mathewane found the stream called Gupo during their hunting. Mathewane was from Shoshong and he had a son called Sethabi who got married to Matlakala who is Bae Mangadi\\\\\\\'s daughter.People in Ratholo are Bapedi ba Mangadi (Bae), Bapedi ba Lerubisi ( Moipei), Batalaote - Kedikilwe, Bakaa ba Seokolo,Morulane le Direkileng.Dikgotlana ke Mokaayana,Ratholo,Moipei Mangadi,Botalaote le Bogopa. tHE first Kgotlana is Mokaanyana built under the first chief of the village Bae Mangadi. Ratholo\\\\\\\'s name was Bothibelelo before it was called Ratholo. crisies of chieftainship is hampering the peaceful village of Ratholo,whereby old and elderly people are failing to say the history to reveal who is the ruler of the village but according to my research Bae Mangadi\\\\\\\'s sons in Mokaanyana ward must be inagurated for the throne. confusion is caused by 1977 when the chief was elected but the chief is born. This confused people of Ratholo thinking that Tshupelo Direkileng was the born chief but that was not correct. There is the other group who settled in Ratholo as from 1947 and also claiming the chieftainship - Lerubisi\\\\\\\'s family. Bare in mind that Ratholo village settled in 1800 under the control of Mr Mapulane aka-Golo-aka-Mpedi-aka-Senwedi-aka-Leso all from Moremi Village as founders of Batswapong.This rises the eyebrows on where have you been Lerubisi\\\\\\\'s family for the passed more than 200 years. if need more make an appointment since the document about the village are with me full of facts.
