About village :
Khorof Harar is a small town in Wajir East District which is part of the Great Wajir County in North Eastern Kenya. It was known before 50s of last century as a water point consisting of shallow wells with minimal water where the nomadic community relied for there water supply. It later grew into settlement and in 1973 it first got a primary school, and a borehole which relieved the people of Khorof the hardship the faced due to water scarcity. The town is now renown for the big steps made by its leader towards development. Khorof now has a secondary school and a well equipped sub District hospital among other facilities.
