my name Musa B Trawally, commonly known as (Bahilly Trawally) Born raise in Garawol village. Back then is a village but now a town. Garawol back then was called chanum around the time 1868. Garawol the first chieftain commonly known as Alikalo, was Sadie ceesay who ruled garawol for only 3yrs. He was first and shortest alikalo among the other alikalos. The longest alikalo is called Foday Njorobo Ceesay who rules garawol for 47yrs.Garawol has 17th to 19 Alikalos. In kantora District today, garawol is 145yrs old village and gradual became a biggest village in whole Gambia. Garawol is now incomparable to any village in Gambia. It became a town with population of 11000 to 12000 people.Garawol as any other towns and cities has its own hospital, middle school, and primary school also with their electricity. Lights are every corner of the streets. There are a lot of groceries and convenience stores at every corner. It became a marketing center of the area villagers
