About village :

Imiegba is a town in North Ibie, Etsako East Local Government of Edo State of Nigeria, It is bounded by Kogi State to the North, Apana/Ogbona to the South and neighbouring Itsukwi and Okpekpe. It is the heartbeat of North Ibie.There are eight kindreds in Imiegba, these are Imiofu, Igbinoko, Achinye, Aremviele, Imiotu, Imiekhu, Imiakunu and Imiotsotse. The major festivals in Imiegba include; Utu (New Yam), Eshile (Marriage), Ukphakpha and Izuode (Age Grade).The people of Imiegba are predominantly farmers, some of the women are into pottery and petty trading.Religion: there are Muslims, Christians and African Traditional worshipers.Mineral Resources: Imiegba is rich in Clay, Chalk, Timbers and Good stones.Schools; these include Echeadakwi Primary School, founded in 1945, Imiegba Grammar School, founded in 1978, St Anthony Educational Centre (Nursery, Primary and Secondary), BETEC (Nursery and Primary).Imiegba people are nice and very hospitable.
