History :
The Village of Soesdyke stretches as far back as 1966 and 1968 when it was connected to Mackenzie, Linden by the Administration of the late, Linden Forbes Sampson Burnham.
This connection was done via a modern two lane highway stretching at about 42 miles long. The river along the Soesdyke village was commonly used for regular journey before the linden-soesdyke highway was constructed in 1966.
