About village :

Leninvaros stopped being called "Leninvaros"in 1991 it's now called "Tiszaujvaros" and it is a City since 1970 not a Village!Population is about 17000.Tiszaujvaros is an industrial Town,Hydro Energy and Chemical Fertilizer is the two main industry.There are 2 routes of the City Buses #1 and #2 Population are mostly Hungarian(ancestry)but there are small groups with Roma(Gypsy)Polish and Armenian Ancestry.Every summer the City holds the "Great Triathlon Week"that hosts the best National Triathletes and even some International entries.Tiszaujvaros hosted the 12.th Triathlon World Cup in 2007.The City also hosts the Spring,and Christmas Festivals,Also this year they host for the 37th times the "AEGON Sports Days"where each year over 600 Athletes participate!The History of the City is fairly short.It used to be a Village called"Tiszaszederkeny".It can thank it creation to the Communist Government's"National Socialist Industrialization Program"The Construction of the New City started on the 9.th of September 1955,next to the Village of Tiszaszederkeny.The City was using the name of Tiszaszederkeny until 1970 when it was named "Leninvaros"(Lenin city)then 2yrs after the fail of Communism it got named"Tiszaujvaros"(Tisza New City)Thanx and hope this info will help
