Dear Sir,I am looking for my distant relatives in Poland to establish contacts with them. My grandfather Piotr Szczerbicki was born in 1905 in the village of Szlachtowa (now part of Szczawnica) in the area of Nowy Sacz to the southeast of Krakow near the Slovak border.I'd like to get some information and contact details about him, his family, descendants and relatives. Email addresses could be especially important for me. My father Jan Szczerbicki was also born in Szlachtowa in 1938. Church or public records of births and deaths of people in Szlachtowa may still be available to help me find information on my relatives in Poland.My grandfather Piotr Szczerbicki had several brothers. The youngest of them Wladyslaw Szczerbicki, born in 1925 in Szlachtowa, lived from 1947 in the northwest of Poland near the current German border - in Bierzwnik in the area of Gorzow Wielkopolski. Only the descendants of Wladyslaw Szczerbicki (his sons Szymon, Jan and Piotr Szczerbicki) are still alive and may live with their family and relatives in Bierzwnik and in Choszczno in the area of Gorzow Wielkopolski. Most likely only they are my distant relatives in Poland.I live in Canada and have the same family name. The above mentioned information was given to me by my father and my grandfather. I'd be very grateful to you for your help or advice to find the contact details of my distant relatives in Poland. God bless you.
