Liwaladzi is an area under Traditional Authority Kanyenda of the Chewa clan in Malawi. it is bordered by Nkhotakota game reserve to the west, Lake Malawi to the east while to the north and south, it is bordered by Mikongwe and Chizeo rivers respectively. The area is found 10km south of Dwangwa Township and 45km north of Nkhotakota district headquarters known as boma (British overseas military administration).

There are alot of churchs in Liwaladzi. most of them are protestant and pentecostal.the prominent and oldest ones are Anglican,Presbyterian CCAP of the Livingstonia synod,Roman Catholic,Last Church,African International,Citadel Church among the notable ones.Anglican is the most dominant in Liwaladzi centre,Kabiza (Vitekete), Mphikapika with two churches,Sanga and Walemera.

The booming type of business is agrobased. most land owners are now involved in sugarcane growing.
