About village :
Mgabi is a village located on the border between Malawi and Zambia in the central region of Malawi.Until recently, the village was thought to be part of Zambia in the eastern provincial town Chipata. A recent boundary demarcation survey between Malawi and Zambia concluded that the location of village is on Malawi side.Villagers are adamant that they have always regarded themselves as Zambians. The issue was left to politicians from two countries to sort out but meanwhile the people of Mgabi are still their.The people are ngonis under Inkosi ya makosi Mpezeni as such they regard the boundary as an intrusion in area as the two countries were created when they were already settled.
