History :
Prince Abayomi Akinruntan, a top contender of the Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency race, has toured the five wards of Apoi in Ese-Odo Local Government and was received warmly by the teeming supporters of the Labour Party.
Prince Akinruntan on his arrival at Igbekebo Apoi Ward I, was received by members of the party with a lot of enthusiasm, and pledge to support him in his aspiration, the story was the same in Kiribo, Apoi Ward II where members were anxiously waiting for the “Prince of Peace” whom they believed cannot disappoint the people when voted into power going by his royal background because according to one of the members of the party, Mr. Johnson, from Kiribo, “he has a name to protect., and you will agree with me that the Akinruntan name is a household name in Nigeria, and I strongly believe that Yomi cannot afford to rubbish that name if he gets to Abuja, he must surely protect it”.
In all the wards visited, Prince Akinruntan has one message to the people which is that he is into politics not because of money as it is the case with some people, but his desire to help and develop his people and the area he comes from which is only achievable through venturing into politics.
He promised the people that, if voted into power, he would ensure that, the youths, women and the aged in the Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency are empowerment financially in order to drastically reduce the level of poverty prevalent in our society.
He thanked the people of Apoi for the support given him and promised not to forget them when he gets to Abuja.
