Festival :

It pains me to write this story but I just have to do it this way and cry out to the world on behalf of my people.
The annual festival for this year 2013 was initially slated for the 18th of April by the Okpara-uku and his council.
As stories would have it, the two quarters of the town namely Umusu and Unukpo had a little misunderstanding over one chief that was arrogant to the ruler and had his title seized.
Words have it that a top chieftain(name witheld) ordered d ruler to return d seized title on or before the festival, but it was slated for the 22nd or April by the ruler, for settlement of the issue.
One quater revolted and fixed a different date for their festival(Unukpo). On the date chosen, they couldn\'t do it and thus was postponed.
On the eve of the festival(17th) mobile police men and soldiers were seen flocking into the town in their numerous numbers to see the ruler, and they agreed it would be peaceful.
On d d-day, to our greatest surprise, the mobile men that agreed on peace were seen again, this time mounting road-blocks at almost every inch of the community, arresting and molesting people irrespective of age and gender.
W̶̲̥̅̊ђA̶̲̥̅t shocked me most was the way they treated my people like animals.
To cut the long story short, the festival did not hold again and at the time of filling this report, mobile men were still in town.
Words have it that the mobile men were invited by the local government chairman whose brother is the present AIG of the Country, but story still has it that he\'s not in support of the act and promises to look into the matter
