About village :

Oshigbudu community is a strategic town located in Agatu local govt. Area of Benue State.
It,s roads network is well connected to other negbouring villages making it virtually impossible to travel to other villages without passing through It.
The inhabitants are mainly farmers and traders.
It was named and founded by an Igala migrant from Akpan in Kogi State called Okoko.
The people are Kind to visitors and they are very hard working.
The major religion they practices are, christainity, traditional African religion and Islam.

History :

Oshigbudu village is one of the strategic community in Agatu lacal govt. Area oif Benue State. It was named and founded bY Mr. Okoko, whose root is from Akpan in Kogi State.He gave birth to several children which includes; Atoko, Ikoja etc.
He later saw a man from a nearby village called Ayele and invited Him to come and stay with him along with His families; Which He refused citing reasons such as the fear of Evil Spirits that used to kill Human beings, because according to Him, He has onced lived in The area on transit but left finally to settle in Ayela.
But after much persuation from Mr.Akoko, He came and started living in Oshigbudu to join The family of Okoko. And later, Other tribes from other villages started coming down to settle in Oshigbudu Land.
During the colonial Era, The british decided that He Okoko be made a King; but He thought, it was not yet Time.
This is just the brief History of Oshigbudu.
