The first week Of April 2013 marks the beginning of yet another development atttained by Yayari village which has turned it another step further in to a newly created Dagaci village having been made an electoral ward pretty earlieron. The present day Chief of Yayari is in the name of Idi Sallau This new Dagaci area approved by Dr Isa Yuguda the Bauchi state Governor, was curved out of Dagauda Dagaci area. This article has been added to just depict the above important development to the credit of the village.

On monday November 25 2013,Yayari village has officially been made the headquarters of a newly created Dagaci Area curved out from the former Dagauda Dagaci Area which lived too vast for a couple of decades. The process witnessed the upliftment of Malam ldi Sallau the incumbent Sarkin Yayari to the New Dagaci of yayari Area. The turbanning was the usual traditional job carried out by His Royal Highness the Emir of Misau at his palace.

History :

Yayari village specifically located in Dagauda district as there exists another Yayari village in Dambam district and other possibities else where in Nigeria or any other part of the world, is a Karaikarai tribe farm settlement located seven kilometres southeast of Dagauda village. This farm settlement came about when the population of the settlers within Yaru village's defence wall outgrew its perimeter and the first inhabitants of Yayari village left Yaru, travelled seven kilometres westward and founded Yayari village. The new settlement was deemed to have the advantage of vast and fertile agricultural land. Afterall, the days of inter tribal uprisings and slavery were over that last quarter of the 19th century.

Festival :

BARAKAU is a festival celebrated in yayari just as it is celebrated in Yaru the ancient walled village from where Yayari originated. It is a three day festival during which each household acts the host recieving and feasting with visitors mainly kinsmen and sons in law. There is extensive gambling, traditional songs and wrestling matches throughout the duration of this festival which turns out to be the festival of the new millet. The originators of this festival are the NGAMO tribe. The Yaru Karaikarai tribe adopted the culture out of neighbourhood interaction during the ancient time.
