My name is Lunga Makaula also known as (Big) my father was Vumile Patrick Makaula also known (Bathande) he was also the headman of the village he inherited it from his father Mzuvukile Makaula also known as(Ggwirha)am the third child of Vumile and Annastacia Makaula that was my mom, they both had Four chilrden my older brother Msawenkosi,my only sister Nosibusiso,myself and my younger brother Siphelele.Lutateni is the great place to be, we have iKinirha the nearby River that is always roaming,we speak Isibhaca cause we are Amabhaca.We love singing, dancing,and we are very kind people.We believe in our cultures and also believe in different religions.We blessed with fields to plough crops and the grazing land for our cattle,sheep,goats,pigs,horses,donkeys etc.We have everything that our forefathers left us for future generations, we only hope and believe that our democratic Government can make other needs to be met.I am still blessed with uMajili my grandmother,I have Uncles, Aunts,Cousin and we at Lutateni are getting educated cause we do have schools, we play sports particularly soccer and netball,We have choir music at schools.We do have a clinic.A nearby PostOffice,A church and some Shops.We use Buses when we want to go to Mt Frere.Some people do have their own cars and there are Vans(bakkie taxis) if u missed the bus you will go home no matter what the situation .>My favourite month at Lutateni is december we have Soccer Tournaments.We celebrate Christmas our brothers and sisters are coming back from far away places (at work, at Universities,etc)so Oomakoti(young wives) prepare great meals while men slaughter cows or sheep, it is also the right time to perform our rituals because everyone is available.It is also time for initiation school (umeluko wamakhwenkwe there is umqombothi(african beer) that is served,we even play stick fighting for the families that their son have gone for circumcision school.there is (Ingoma) the competition of dancing,singing,the way they are wearing for the dance is what matters for the win./> Lutateni is also devided geographically and the sections are named differently we had kwaMatiwane,Ezuu,Esidungeni,Emtatsi,Emaqeleni.etc.We eat meat we also eat raw meat (ukufukutsah)it is part of our culture we also eat samp and beans,pap,baked bread,imifuno(spinach and the other greens from the garden).We had good history stories of our worriors, our chiefs,people,rivers,the mountains,the animals,the weather conditions and the traditions..We respect,W love,We trust,We believe,We play,We share,We dance,We sing,We build,We teach,We grow,We pray.(Itakum ite kuwe ite phasi)(Ungabo tibhobha inzaba ongatati tiyokubhidza)
