History :

It seems that its got bit of history with Hindu mythology with some goddess.
but modern people are more Buddhist and intellectual people.

Festival :

Only festival is Gini Madu (Fire Festival)in December with Hindu traditional things. Though lots of Buddhist live in the area, they all contribute and participate in this festival. This festival got some giant elephants marching in the parade and its so exiting.

Only Grameeya Bank at the end of the suburb which is locates at Haggalla Junction. Post Office is inside the Ellakkala suburb and caters little other transaction for the locals.
