Kurugee is a village in Musoma district in Mara Region. Is about 90 kilometres away from Musoma Town (the capital of Mara Region). It also approximately 135 kilometres from Mwanza city.

Kurugee is a village located in Musoma District about 90 kilometres away from Musoma town the capital of Mara region. It neighbours Bukumi village to the west, Chimati Village to the north, Chitale village to the east and lake Victoria to the south. It is also located near Iramba, Igundu, Kisorya in Bunda district, Mara region and Ukerewe island (district)in Mwanza region.People in Kurugee village engage mostly in fishing and agriculture activities. It is a small village with a population of about 2000 inhabitants. The native tribe is wajita which is the largest tribe in Mara region.
