About village :

I have been living in Rasi Salai for just over a year now. Being the only Englishman living in the main town, everyone knows who I am and my life story. Rasi Salai is a friendly place, everyone has a smile for you, a wave and are very helpful. I have been coming to Thailand for over 12 years and have visited many places, yet have never felt more at home in Thailand than Rasi. It does not have much to offer in the respect of a tourist destination, other than the dam and Moon river, but what it does have is a feeling of a family atmosphere about it. A local coffee/restaurant establishment called "Wang Oon" go out of their way to make you feel special (or in my experience anyway). Rasi is untouched by too many foriegn influences and the longer it stays that way, for me at least, the better.
